I want you to know that I couldn't be happier with your man, Josh Buttry, and Young's Appliances.  I realize that appliances are a commodity that you can buy anywhere, and yet Josh and Young's have consistently been very helpful, and provided extraordinary service.  That is not to say that Young's doesn't make mistakes.  But I have found that Young's will promptly fix a mistake, or improve on a process; and very often go beyond what I expect.

 
Recently Josh helped me a great deal by replacing a burned-out, difficult to access, halogen bulb in a range hood.  He didn't have to do that.
 
A year or so ago Josh helped me on his own time to remove and re-install a dishwasher in a new home.  The springs were broken and under warranty, but the manufacturer didn't want to remove and replace the unit since it had a wood panel on it and they were afraid of damaging the unit.  Josh certainly didn't have to do that either, but he did.

We trust Youngs so much that we never shop around, but simply go there first and save time. The scratch story is not unusual for them. They really stand by their sales and the customer comes first.



We also have an Amana from Youngs. Guess those of us who have lived here for a long time know and trust Youngs. Whatever they recommend you can rest assured that it will be the best! We have purchased from Youngs for all of our houses and have never been the least bit disappointed as they always go the extra mile. When I have had an appliance long enough to need service they were great!


I bought a washer/dryer from Youngs - great service both at the store and installation. Great sales and service. As I recall, pricing was competitive, and now I don't even bother shopping around.


I buy all my appliances from Young's, even for rental properties in and around Glen Ellyn.

Case in point, I had bought a middle-of-the-road stainless steel stove for a house I re-did about 6-months ago. I was showing it to potential buyers who noticed a small scratch on the door (it was almost not noticeable in most light). I told Young's and the next day, I had a new stove in place. Can't beat them.

It pays off for them in the end. For example, the people that noticed the scratch bought the house and heard the story and bought their fridge, washer and dryer from Young's.

We buy all of our appliances from Youngs.


Our gas stove is something like 10+ years old now. A summer ago, one side wouldn't light. I cleaned it, it still didn't work, and called Youngs to ask what a service call would run. The first question they asked was if we bought it there. When he realized that we had, he offered to either walk me through the repair over the phone, or send someone out. Turns out what he suggested over the phone worked, but I had the idea they probably would have charged very little or nothing to come over to take a look.

 
Jeff, their repair guy, does a GREAT job. and their prices are really the same as Best Buy, Expo, et. al. this is one place where buying local IS a no brainer.
