Nestled between landmark buildings in historic downtown Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Young’s Appliances has achieved what only a handful of other full service appliance stores have - over 81 years in business. Since 1931 Young’s Appliances has provided quality appliances and service to communities such as Glen Ellyn, Wheaton, Lombard, Winfield, West Chicago, Warrenville and Naperville. Through the years Young’s has expanded their service to include all of Du Page County and the Chicago region while retaining a business model of small town, personal customer service rarely found today.

Educated sales personnel, quality customer service before, during and after the sale, a full array of appliance brands to accommodate the short-order cook or gourmet chef, plus our affiliation with the national buying group (Brand Source), allows Young’s to remain competitive and offer the same or better value than many of our larger competitors. This also includes incentives such as price rebates, financing and extended warranties that are often only associated with larger stores. Every day Young’s proves that we don’t need to be big to provide great value.

Giving Back

One thing a business such as Young's learns early on is that its customer base in a large part comes directly from the community. Given that, Young's has continually supported local charities, organizations and events as a way of giving back.

 This has extended from its founder, Elmer Young, who was active throughout his entire life locally and nationally with Rotary, to Larry Young's service as a Glen Ellyn Village Trustee, founding member of the Economic Development Commission (EDC) and board member for the B.R. Ryall YMCA, to Young's current president, Doug Samuels, who is a three-term past president for the B.R. Ryall YMCA, as well as former EDC board member and Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce board member.

 Through direct involvement on boards, charitable donations, or by providing services in kind, Young's Appliances in its 80+ years of business has given and continues to give to the following organizations:
